Neighbourhood team engage with Twyford older residents
Thames Valley Police and their partners are visiting the Twyford Age Concern day centre to talk to older residents in the community about their concerns and offer advice on what to do if they experience anti-social behaviour (ASB).
Twyford Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Jackie Daniels said: “PCSO Anne Chalmers and I have arranged to spend the afternoon at Twyford Age concern day centre as an opportunity to offer advice to residents around crime prevention.
“The community wardens from Wokingham Borough Council will also be on hand to answer any questions and listen to concerns.
“It is also an ideal opportunity to talk to them about specific concerns around Halloween and give them our ‘no trick or treating’ posters.
“Older people are sometimes not as mobile and able to get to our police surgeries so we thought it was important to reach out to them in this way.
PCSOs and Community Wardens will be at the Lady Elizabeth centre in Polehampton Close, Twyford from 2pm next Friday (9/10).
