Are you proud of your Twyford shed?
Staff at a Twyford, Berkshire garden centre want to hear from people this July (2009) who are proud of their garden sheds.
Wyevale Hare Hatch Garden Centre, which is located on Floral Mile in Hare Hatch, Twyford, is hosting a Shed Weekend on Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12, 2009 and it is launching a competition this month (June) for people who love their sheds.
Martin Lines, Manager of the Twyford garden centre, said: “Our Shed Weekend links in with National Shed Week starting on July 6. Sheds aren’t just for old pots and gardening tools. Some people use them for train sets, others convert them into offices and writers and artists use them as tranquil havens.”
The team at the garden centre is asking people from all over Berkshire to enter the competition by bringing in a photograph of their garden shed. The photographs will go on show from July 11 until July 19.
Twyford People wishing to enter the competition are asked to write their name, address and contact number on the back of their shed photograph and hand it in to a member of the garden centre team during normal opening hours from now, Friday, June 19 until 4pm on July 19.
The garden centre team will select the competition winner – the photograph that they feel illustrates the most interesting shed – on Monday, July 20 and contact the winner. The winning entrant will receive a shed solar light worth £19.99 donated by Luxform.
