Twyford Singers Christmas Concert
St Mary’s Church
Twyford
Saturday 17th December 2005 @ 7.30 pm.
The Twyford Singers are holding their Christmas Concert at St Mary’s Church, Twyford at 7.30 pm, Saturday 17th December 2005. Tickets £5.00 including mince pie and soft drink.
The concert will be traditional in the main but with one or two innovations. Members of the choir are quite used to singing in French and Latin but they’ve gone one better this year and will be singing the carol ‘Rhosyn Duw’ in Welsh. They have also been rehearsing a special arrangement of Good King Wenceslas, which they hope everyone will enjoy.
The varied programme includes a traditional selection of carols and seasonal songs, with many opportunities for the audience to join in. Among other items featured are Panis Angelicus, Ave Verum Corpus and the Hallelujah Chorus.
The church will be decorated and there will be a refreshment interval and raffle.
The concert takes place at St Mary’s Church, Church Street, Twyford on Saturday 17th December 2005 at 7.30 pm. Tickets £5.00 (includes mince pie and soft drink) from Peter Thomas 0118 934 2406; Liz Jenkins 0118 934 5985 or at the door on the night.
